Introduction to Outreach

Busby Parish Church is used by many non church organisations for various activities within the halls.  It is also used by Busby Primary School for teaching purposes and for end of term services.

The congregation also reach out to those within the community of Busby in many different ways. These can be at a time of illness or bereavement within the Parish or at other times when invited to help in many different ways.  Representatives of Busby Parish Church regularly take part in church services in Bonnyton Home, Busby, Mearnskirk Hospital and Victoria Infirmary.

Some outreach activities which took place place in 2009 was the participation of the congregation in the Keep Scotland Beautiful Campaign in April. This was so succesful that it was decided to make it an annual event. In August 2009 there was an Open Day when invitations were delivered to all the houses in the Parish inviting people to come along and enjoy tea, coffee and find out more about all the church organisations. There is also a regular keep-fit class on a Wednesday afternoon in which church members and non-members enjoy the benefits and companionship through exercise.
